This incense is strengthening and uplifting. It is a great aid in cases of exhaustion or depression, reinforcing the inner hero. It is a wonderful way to prepare for a new beginning.

In Mesopotamian mythology, Utnapishtim saved humanity from a great flood by sheltering his wife and a few animals in an ark that he built when god Enki warned him of his brother’s plans to rid the Earth of the human race. In return, him and his wife are granted immortality. In the Epic of Gilgamesh (the oldest surviving written piece of literature), Utnapishtim tells the story of the great flood, which includes this incense mixture that he burned to thank the gods for surviving.

Cedar brings its majestic power, fostering strength and resilience. It has a masculine energy and was believed by people in Mesopotamia to help search for solutions in particularly difficult or critical situations.
Myrtle was considered a sacred plant and was burned in ceremonies honoring the Sun god Shamash. A symbol of purity and love, myrtle was believed to support forgiveness and help heal old emotional wounds.
Like cedar, calamus is a nerve tonic; it is strong, a symbol of masculine vitality, leading us to the core of our own power.

Please note the product you are purchasing is the packaged incense. (It does not include: incense burner, charcoal or any other accessories.)
